A human-presence safety system that alerts when unintended stroller movement begins.
Designed for public spaces. Built for real life.
✓ Unintended movement begins quietly.
✓ When attention shifts, there is no warning.
✓ By the time it’s noticed, reaction time is lost.
Hands on the control bar → Disarmed (Green)
Hands off the control bar → Armed (Red)
Unintended movement while armed → Visual & audible alert
Early sensor proof-of-concept video:
This early prototype validates the core logic used to detect unintended stroller movement. The production Control Bar uses an integrated IMU-based sensing system to deliver the same detection capability without wheel wiring.
✓ Logic validated before scaling
✓ Architecture simplified for durability
✓ Designed for universal fit on full size strollers
Integrated IMU motion sensing sealed inside the control bar
Intuitive thumb joystick for simple system navigation and status control
Handle-bar safety levers that automatically disarm the system when a hand is present
No wheel wiring or external sensors required
No phone or app required — works independently
Clear visual + audible alerts for immediate awareness
Universal mounting designed for full-size strollers
✓ No manual ON/OFF switch
✓ Automatically arms and disarms
✓ Enters sleep mode when folded
✓ Screen and alerts off during storage or transport
Designed to improve public safety while piloting exportable innovation.
✓ Controlled, high-density public environments
✓ Real-world testing before global expansion
✓ Supports family safety in tourism spaces
StrollerSense™ has moved beyond concept. Core sensor logic has been validated through working prototype tests, the Control Bar’s industrial design is defined, and an IMU-based safety architecture has been selected for scalable production. The project is now preparing for full prototype development and real-world pilot deployment.
Target raise: $125,000–$150,000 USD to complete final prototyping, safety validation, and deploy pilot units in live environments.
StrollerSense™ was founded by Clifford Mathieu, a patented inventor and product developer focused on prevention-first safety systems and embedded control architecture.
Clifford was previously awarded a U.S. patent for a dual-input computer mouse integrating a universal joystick and programmable controls, enabling users to toggle seamlessly between joystick-based cursor navigation and traditional motion-based movement. This invention established his foundation in hardware-integrated interface systems, user-controlled logic, and protected intellectual property development.
Building on that experience, development of StrollerSense™ included technical collaboration with robotics systems consultants to validate motion-sensing logic and system architecture. The result is a scalable, embedded safety platform engineered for OEM integration and international licensing partnerships.
Clifford continues to lead product development and intellectual property strategy as the company advances structured European manufacturing discussions and global expansion planning.
Public spaces are more crowded than ever and shared environments leave little room for error. ✓
Distraction is unavoidable, especially where families are navigating movement, noise, and time pressure. ✓
Safety must be passive and intuitive, not dependent on memory, procedures, or perfect attention.✓
Prevention should happen before panic has a chance to begin. ✓
